Thank you for your interest in visiting! Vouchers are valid for general admission. Children under 14 must be supervised by adults 18 or over. Tickets are required; reserve in advance for fastest entry. Visit: https://www.bbg.org/visit,  click "Get Tickets” then "Not a Member, Buy Tickets" (no fee will be charged). Select date and choose "Affiliated Organization Tickets" on the Reserve Tickets Menu. Go to “Checkout”. You will receive a confirmation email with QR code that you must show on arrival. You must bring your UA "Student + 3" voucher (either paper or digital copy) to show to Visitor Services staff. Voucher not valid for entry to Lightscape or other ticketed events.     6. Voucher does not include parking, except at the Staten Island Zoo.

    Class Trips

    Thank you for your interest in visiting! UA Class Trip Vouchers can be used for School Workshop Field Trips, both Virtual or On-site to Brooklyn Botanic Garden. UA Elementary schools and UA Middle schools can choose from the topics described below. Parking is not included.

    On-site Programs (90 minutes): Include hands-on plant explorations, a tour of plant collections, and potting up a plant for each student in the education greenhouse. Topics include:

    • Exploring Trees in the Garden (pre-K–8)
    • Exploring Plants in Our Lives (pre-K–8)
    • Sensory Exploration (pre-K–2)
    • Investigating Life in Water (2–8)
    • Ecological Exploration (2–8)
    • Investigating Flowers (2–8)
    • Plant Adaptations: Thriving in a Challenging Environment (6-8)
    • Multiplying Plants: An Introduction to Asexual Reproduction (6-8)

    Virtual Programs (45 minutes): Tropical and Desert Plant Explorations (K–8) includes a live, BBG instructor–led experience consisting of prerecorded video tours and an interactive lesson. Teachers will set up the virtual field trip using the platform of their choice. Teachers will be mailed a kit including plants and potting-up materials for the class. Access to online materials and a potting-up video tutorial for teachers is included.

Teachers can also bring their classes self-guided without the use of a voucher. Teachers may request a pre-trip Teacher Support Visit with BBG UA staff on the UA Portal.     What can I do with my voucher?

    Schedule a synchronous, 45-minute, virtual field trip or a 90-minute, on-site field trip Tuesday through Friday. Register at https://www.bbg.org/learn/school_group_guided_workshops.



    Guidelines

    • Class Trip vouchers are for UA-participating science teachers to bring only the students they teach on up to two trips per school year.

    • Class trip vouchers expire on May 31st.

    • UA school groups can visit UA institutions and book online (virtual) class programs.

    • Class Trip Redeem Codes (Voucher ID) must be presented at the time you book your reservation.

    • Each voucher admits 40 people.

    School Community

    Thank you for your interest in visiting! Brooklyn Botanic Garden accepts Community Trip Vouchers! We are excited to welcome our Urban Advantage Parent Coordinators along with their students and families to the Garden. Using your Community Trip voucher means you will receive free admission to the Garden and will have the option to choose a themed itinerary. As part of our new Community Trip experience, we will provide a backpack for the PC with materials and resources for a structured learning experience. Please reach out to our Family Engagement team, in advance, at [email protected] for help scheduling and planning your trip. School groups can register to come self-guided for free: https://www.bbg.org/learn/school_group_visit_inquiry. This includes groups on school and non-school days.

    I have it! What next? | Is my school in UA?
    The student must be present to redeem a "Student +3" voucher, and cannot be during school hours. Only students at UA schools will receive vouchers.
