Urban Advantage participants receive vouchers for admission to our institutions. Follow instructions below to reserve tickets using your voucher.
We are excited for you to visit. Vouchers are valid anytime. To reserve your timed entry admission, call AMNH Central Reservations at (212) 769-5200 and provide your Redeem Code/Voucher ID during this call. Vouchers are valid for general admission and choice of one of the following: Special Exhibit, IMAX, Space Show, Butterfly Vivarium, or Invisible Worlds. Advanced registration is required.
Parking is not included.
New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut residents (with ID) can pay as you wish for General Admission.
Guidelines
- This voucher is for planning class and school community trips by UA-participating Teachers/Parent Coordinators/Administrators.
- Teacher/Parent Coordinator/Administrator Vouchers expire on June 30th.
- All UA institutions, except for Queens Botanical Garden and New York Botanical Garden (Bronx), require advance timed-entry reservations. Please see instructions listed under each institution to reserve your timed entry tickets.
- UA institutions require that you show your timed entry tickets; please keep any emails with admission information.
- The Teacher/Parent Coordinator/Administrator listed on the voucher must be present when voucher is used.
- Voucher does not include parking, except at the Staten Island Zoo.

To reserve a timed entry admission, call AMNH Central Reservations at (212) 769-5200, you will need to provide your Redeem Code/Voucher ID during this call; advanced registration is required and is allowed up to two months in advance. To ensure availability, you must plan your field trip at least 5 weeks in advance.
Valid for general admission and choice of one of the following: IMAX, Space Show, or Invisible Worlds.
If you do not plan to see the IMAX, Space Show, or Invisible Worlds, you do not need to use your voucher. Vouchers are in limited supply. NYC School Groups receive free general admission on weekday visits and can add the Butterfly Vivarium or The Secret World of Elephants special exhibit to their visit.
Groups visiting with Class Trip Vouchers must check in with a museum representative at either (1) the school reception area, or (2) 81st Street ticketing desks.
Parking is not included. To cancel, call (212) 769-5200 by 5 pm the day prior to your visit.
Guidelines
- Class Trip vouchers are for UA-participating science teachers to bring only the students they teach (grades 3-8) on up to two trips per school year.
- Class trip vouchers expire on May 31st.
- Class Trip Redeem Codes (Voucher ID) must be presented at the time you book your reservation.
- The Teacher/Parent Coordinator/Administrator listed on the voucher must be present when voucher is used.
- Limitations to group size may apply, check institutional limits when reserving.
